Brief: Create a bespoke collection of VIP gifts for our local university that reflects the intertwined heritage of the institution and its surrounding community.
Solution: We unearthed and repurposed authentic components from century-old cotton spinning machinery—bobbins, shuttles, pirns, and caskets—rescued from Manchester’s historic textile mills. These industrial artefacts have been meticulously restored and transformed into a striking suite of gifts, including sand timers, pen holders, coasters, and certificate cases.
Each piece is a tangible echo of the Industrial Revolution, elegantly branded and thoughtfully packaged. The collection celebrates Manchester’s legacy as a cradle of innovation while honouring the university’s enduring connection to the city’s rich industrial past.
